Brewed tea was never one of my favorite drinks and I used to think that liking it was a sign of getting old. My parents always try to convince me that it is good for my health and that it can help me lose some weight. Well, since I have been slowly gaining weight over the past few months, I took their advice and started drinking tea, particularly an Uji Matcha. A powdered Japanese green tea is believed to be one of the best teas. I must say, it does smell positively different from other kinds of tea and I had no problems learning to drink it.

It has been two weeks now since I started to drink Uji Matcha and I feel great. I do not know if I actually already lost some weight but I think it is really good. I was warned to drink it in moderation though. They said that like coffee, tea also contains caffeine. Oh well, that is a good reason for me not to over do it. Anyway, I am planning to convince some of my friends to also drink tea and try to ask them to join me in a real tea ceremony and drink tea in style.
