At present, lot of companies and research institutes continue in the search of ways to improve and further develop the existing computers.
After so many years of continuous development, the world of computers is extremely broad to explore. Looking at the trend in the developments of computer technology, computers are now transformed in the simplest and advanced forms with different variations. Computers may now be compressed into a single circuit board such as a computer on module, having every component that an ordinary computer be contained in a very small package.
The present personal computers are now “simplified” by combining input and output devices in one technology. Touch panel displays is an input device replacing the mouse and keyboard and an output device that displays the output on the screen. Touch screens are usually used in ATMs and photo developing centers where a minimal space is allotted.
Smart cards, on the other hand, enable a computational device to come in handy. These cards can also store and carry information and are commonly used in personal identification, banking and finance purposes.
In the years to come, many other computer technologies are expected to be released in the market that will surely make computers provide a better, easier and almost perfect life.
